APPE’s 4th annual Ethics Bowl Summer Workshop will be held from Friday June 30 to Sunday July 2 at San Jose State University. The Ethics Bowl summer workshops were initiated in 2014 in order to give prospective new Ethics Bowl participants the opportunity to train for the event, and to give returning participants the chance to hone their skills and collaborate on new ideas. Since then, the workshop has been held every summer at rotating university venues around the US, and has instructed scores of participants on Ethics Bowl topics, such as coaching, judging, student voices, the future of the bowl, and organizing regional competitions. This summer’s workshop will cover many of these and other similar topics that will help to prepare individuals for the next Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl in Chicago in March 2018.
