Information for Publishers and Organizations
The Association for Practical and Professional Ethics invites publishers, distributors and organizations to exhibit titles for sale and advertise in the Book Resource Room at the Twenty-seventh International Conference in Chicago, Illinois at the Hilton Palmer House Hotel, March 1-4, 2018.
Typically, APPE International Conference attracts more than 400 scholars, teachers, practitioners, and students who have special interest in the interdisciplinary areas that make up the field of Practical and Professional Ethics and many more who come to the conference for the National Ethics Bowl Competition held each year.
Those interests include, but are not limited to bioethics, business ethics, engineering ethics, environmental ethics, medical ethics, ethics and sport, media ethics, as well as ethics in fund raising, health management, government, law, and the military.
The registration deadline for exhibitors is January 20, 2018 or as soon as all exhibition space is sold.
1. Credit Card (online) – After submitting filling out the form, click here to access our online payment portal.
2. Mail: Print out your completed form and include it with your check. Checks must be drawn from a U.S. financial institution. Mail your form and check to: APPE, P.O. Box 37, Greencastle, IN 46135. Do not send checks drawn on foreign bank accounts. We can only accept checks drawn on U.S. Bank Accounts.
Charges assume that exhibit copies of materials will be donated to the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics. If publishers choose to have exhibit copies returned, arrangements must be made in advance and will include a $150 service fee, plus shipping costs.
Exhibit space is supervised and secure. It will be managed by meeting staff. Conference participants may purchase materials directly from the publisher using order forms and price lists supplied by the publisher.
If publishers send a representative to manage their exhibit where sales are separate and display materials are not donated to the Association, the charge is $500. (Conference registration is included.)
Email your advertisement(s) to the APPE Office or the Book Resource Room Coordinator. All copies must be sent camera ready. The advertising deadline is January 20, 2018. Your purchased ad space also allows you to be a part of the Book Resource Room Slide Show that is an electronic presentation that runs on a continual basis during Book Resource Room hours. Being a sponsor is an effective way for others to learn about your organization and publications. The Association’s International Conference is your way to link with hundreds of institutions and individuals across the United States and in 15 foreign countries around the world. Sponsorship also identifies you as a leader in ethics education and publishing.
For the 27th Annual APPE International Conference, opportunities exist to sponsor specific parts of the program or event. For example, would you like us to include your program’s pamphlets or branded materials in our swag bag ($250)? Would you like to sponsor a paper award ($500)? Or a coffee break ($900)? Or the opening reception ($2000)? In addition to the particular benefits associated with each sponsorship opportunity, your sponsorship will be acknowledged at the Annual Awards Ceremony and Banquet, and all sponsors will be listed in the Conference Program and on the Association’s website.

Slide Show and Setup information
Included in registration fee is the opportunity to advertise in an electronic presentation in the Book Resource Room. When you register for your exhibit, please e-mail a one page (6.5w x 9.5h) advertisement or flyer as a .jpg file to firstname.lastname@example.org. You can use this service to highlight a new book, discounted meeting prices or service offered by your organization.
This slide show will be highly visible to everyone browsing the Book Resource Room and another way to promote your services and materials at the APPE Conference. Those who choose to advertise in the Conference Program will have their ads included in the presentation for no additional fee.
The Book Resource Room set-up will be Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Materials should arrive at the hotel no earlier than three days prior to set-up and be clearly marked with the conference information.
