Information for Publishers and Organizations
The Association for Practical and Professional Ethics invites publishers, distributors and organizations to exhibit and advertise publications, programs and services to our community of ethics educators, professionals and students at the Twenty-seventh International Conference in Chicago, Illinois at the Hilton Palmer House Hotel, March 1-4, 2018. There are many options from exhibits with representatives in attendance to combined exhibits and color ads in the Conference Program.
Typically, APPE International Conference attracts more than 400 scholars, teachers, practitioners, and students who have special interest in the interdisciplinary areas that make up the field of Practical and Professional Ethics and many more who come to the conference for the National Ethics Bowl Competition held each year.
Those interests include, but are not limited to bioethics, business ethics, engineering ethics, environmental ethics, medical ethics, ethics and sport, media ethics, as well as ethics in fund raising, health management, government, law, and the military.
NEW THIS YEAR! New this year is the opportunity to advertise to undergraduate university students and their advisers who attend the International Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl. Each year, the top 36 undergraduate Ethics Bowl teams gather at the APPE Conference to compete for the International Ethics Bowl title. We invite universities, ethics centers and organizations with special interest in recruiting top undergraduate students to their programs or professional opportunities to send representatives and displays to the Ethics Bowl Career Night – which will be held Saturday, March 3 from 5:30-7:30pm. Cost for participation is separate from the Book Resource Room exhibits and is $100.
The registration deadline for exhibitors is January 20, 2018 or as soon as all exhibition space is sold.

2. Mail: Print out your completed form and include it with your check. Checks must be drawn from a U.S. financial institution. Mail your form and check to: APPE, P.O. Box 37, Greencastle, IN 46135. Do not send checks drawn on foreign bank accounts. We can only accept checks drawn on U.S. Bank Accounts.
Charges assume that exhibit copies of materials will be donated to the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics. If publishers choose to have exhibit copies returned, arrangements must be made in advance and will include a $150 service fee, plus shipping costs.
Exhibit space is supervised and secure. It will be managed by meeting staff. Conference participants may purchase materials directly from the publisher using order forms and price lists supplied by the publisher.
If publishers send a representative to manage their exhibit where sales are separate and display materials are not donated to the Association, the charge is $500. (Conference registration is included.)
Full page advertisements in the conference program are available in black & white ($125) and color ($230). Copy should be sent camera ready to firstname.lastname@example.org with margins approximately 6.5w x 9.5h for best visibility. The advertising deadline is January 20, 2018. Your purchased ad space also allows you to be a part of the Book Resource Room Slide Show that is an electronic presentation that runs continuously during Book Resource Room hours and adds value to your advertising dollar. There is also a limited number of premium ad spaces available. More information is below.
Being a sponsor is an effective way for others to learn about your organization and publications. The Association’s International Conference is your way to link with hundreds of institutions and individuals across the United States and in 15 foreign countries around the world. Sponsorship also identifies you as a leader in ethics education and publishing.
For the 27th Annual APPE International Conference, opportunities exist to sponsor specific parts of the program or event. For example, would you like us to include your program’s pamphlets or branded materials in our swag bag ($250)? Would you like to sponsor a paper award ($500)? Or a coffee break ($900)? Or the keynote address ($2000)? In addition to the particular benefits associated with each sponsorship opportunity, your sponsorship will be acknowledged at the Annual Awards Ceremony and Banquet, and all sponsors will be listed in the Conference Program and on the Association’s website.

Included in the exhibitor registration fee is the opportunity to advertise in an electronic presentation in the Book Resource Room. When you register for your exhibit, please e-mail a vertical PowerPoint slide or .jpg image to email@example.com. You can use this service to highlight a new book, discounted meeting prices or service offered by your organization.
This slide show will be highly visible to everyone browsing the Book Resource Room and another way to promote your services and materials at the APPE Conference. Those who choose to advertise in the Conference Program will have their ads included in the presentation for no additional fee.
Set-up and Shipping Instructions
The Book Resource Room set-up will be Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Materials should arrive at the hotel no earlier than three days prior to set-up and be clearly marked with the conference information.
