About the APPE Nominating/Election Process
The nomination period for the 2025 election for the APPE Board of Directors has now closed. it will re-open in fall 2025. Candidates must be current APPE members, and if elected, must maintain their APPE membership in good standing throughout the term of their service on the Board. Self-nominations are welcome.
We are striving for an APPE Board that is inclusive and diverse and that will help guide the organization during the coming years. We encourage nominations of persons from typically underrepresented groups, including marginalized communities such as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color), LGBTQ+, and persons with disability. We invite recommendations of candidates representing an array of disciplines and backgrounds, including from outside academia, to better reflect the diversity of our membership. The Nominating Committee will prioritize recommending candidates who have been current APPE members for at least two years.
If you're interested in running for a future term, please read our Board Expectations and Roles & Responsibilities of Board Members and then reach out to contact@appe-ethics.org for more information.
